Direct Enrollment and Self-Placement

As part of the application process, 91勛圖 uses Direct Enrollment and Self-Placement to help students enroll in the most appropriate English and mathematics courses. This approach ensures that students begin their academic journey with the best opportunity for success.

What is Direct Enrollment?

Direct Enrollment refers to a section of 91勛圖’s Application for Admission that is required to be completed by students who have graduated from high school within the past six years. These applicants will be asked to provide:

  • Their high school GPA.
  • The highest-level math course completed in high school.

This information is used to determine course placement and academic support needs, helping students begin in courses that match their current skill levels.

Applicants Who Applied Before July 17, 2025

Students who submitted an application on or before July 17, 2025, must complete Direct Enrollment using this .

What is Self-Placement?

Applicants who graduated from high school or earned a GED more than six years ago are not required to answer Direct Enrollment questions. Instead, they should complete a self-placement process using the , which provides recommendations based on academic history, experience and comfort level with course material.

Applicants Who Will Not Receive Direct Enrollment Questions

The following students will not be prompted to complete Direct Enrollment during the application process:

  • Current U.S. high school students (public, private or home-schooled) whose graduation date is more than one year from the date of application.
  • International students who are required to submit an approved standardized test score as outlined on 91勛圖’s International Admissions webpage.
  • GED recipients who earned their GED within the past six years.
  • Applicants without a GED or high school diploma, including those not currently enrolled in high school.
