Academics

The Alexandria Campus has more than 14,000 students and offers 13 world languages, English as a Second Language program, an active Honors program and much more. In addition, we have one of the premier entertainment venues, the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center, which seats over 500.

The Alexandria Campus has ample parking for students, faculty, visitors and guests. Students must park in "Student & Hourly Pay Parking" lots only. No overnight parking is allowed.

Guests and visitors must pay hourly parking if parking on campus before 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking is free in Student Permit & Hourly Pay Parking lots after 3:45 p.m. during the week and all day on weekends.

  • All DASH Bus routes are FREE - no passes, IDs or SmartTrip cards are needed.
  • Please visit the  for the most up-to-date schedules and information.
  • Direct and frequent service between the campus and King St. Metro Station is provided every 10-15 minutes, seven days a week, by the DASH Line 31. Most Line 31 trips continue into Old Town, ending at Braddock Rd. Metro Station.
  • The Metrobus A76 Carlin Springs route, stopping directly at the Alexandria Campus, connects Rosslyn Station to the Mark Center via Southern Towers, NVCC at Alexandria, Carlin Springs Road, Ballston-MU Station, Virginia Square-GMU Stations, 10th Street N, and Arlington Boulevard. This bus route operates on a limited frequency every 30 to 40 minutes.
  • The Metrobus F20 Leesburg Pike route, stopping directly at the Alexandria Campus, connects King St Old Town Station to Tysons Station via W Falls Church Station, E Falls Church Station, Seven Corners Transit Center, Bailey’s Crossroads, NVCC at Alexandria, and Duke Street in Alexandria. This bus route operates on a high frequency every 12 minutes or better.
  • Nearby, the following services are available:
    • DASH Line 35 provides service between the Pentagon and Van Dorn Metro, serving all Beauregard St. points, Braddock Rd. (behind the Schlesinger Garage), or N. Beauregard St. & Fillmore Ave.
